I approach a table with a very confused looking lady and her husband. They ask a million questions, then the husband orders a soup and salad. The lady finally decides that she will just have a bowl of soup. Drinks? 2 waters. When you order just a bowl of soup at my restaurant, it is twice the size of the one that comes with the salad. I bring out the guy’s soup and salad, and the lady’s big bowl of soup. She looks at me puzzled and says, “Can I have a soup like his?” I reply, “You mean like a smaller bowl?” “Well, like his, you know.” I am confused, “so you just want a smaller bowl?” “Well I want one like his.” “Well I can get you a smaller bowl.” “But I want a salad.” This goes on for what seems like an eternity. “So you want the soup and salad?” “Um, I guess so.” Wow, why the fuck didn’t you just order that in the first place? Dinner isn’t rocket science, oh, and thanks for the 2 dollar tip. Come back again soon.
