One day I had a solo diner in the bar easy enough. He told me what he wanted and asked what the dipping sauce his appetizer came with was called, so I told him it was a sweet cashew sauce. He seemed ok with that and I put in his order. I saw his food hit the table and I went over a few minutes after to make sure everything was ok. He immediately exclaimed, “Are there nuts in my appetizer!!!!!” I calmly replied,”Sir, I told you the sauce was a sweet cashew sauce so yes, there are nuts in the sauce.” He proceeded to get very upset and needed to leave immediately to go the the E.R. because he was allergic to nuts. Guess he didn’t know cashews were nuts.
